Static website

Playlists for Life is delivered as a static website. It does not include an account system or contact form. The site uses cookieless GoatCounter analytics and, only after your opt-in, Google Analytics 4, which sets analytics cookies. The site is hosted by Strato AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. As hosting provider, Strato may process standard request data such as IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, and user agent in security and access logs (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR — secure and reliable operation of the site).

GoatCounter

We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly, cookieless, open-source analytics service. It counts page views and a few anonymous events, such as outbound clicks and tool usage, in aggregate. GoatCounter uses no cookies, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking and therefore runs without consent. Analytics data is processed by GoatCounter on our behalf. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage and improving the site (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR).

Google Analytics 4

With your explicit consent, we use Google Analytics 4 under measurement ID G-NKSNXMYT8B. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you opt in. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. The service sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which may remain for up to two years. IP addresses are shortened by Google before storage. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. You can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy.

Outbound redirects

Links under /go/ route a click through a noindex page and then to Spotify, YouTube, or Apple Music. The destination platform receives the normal request information your browser sends.

Spotify embeds

Spotify players are not loaded with the page. If a verified playlist ID is available and you choose to activate a player, your browser connects to Spotify and Spotify’s policies apply. Until that click, the visible cover is served locally.
